Every pupil learns French from Year 7 and adds Spanish or German from Year 8. Lessons are conducted in the target language wherever possible, and the department’s language assistants give every pupil regular conversation practice.
Exchanges with partner schools in Lyon and Salamanca, and the Berlin trip for German students, make the languages real. Native and near-native speakers are supported to take additional qualifications.
